Ingredients for 4 servings

8 ounces cavatelli pasta (cooked to al dente) (reserve the pasta water)

small If you can't find cavatelli (I got excited when my grocery store actually had it for once!) just use a but hearty pasta that will hold up to the chunky ingredients

1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme (or equivalent dried)

1 teaspoon red chili flakes

1 inch chorizo sausage cut slices

1 medium sweet onion chopped

1/4 cup of parmigiano or pecorino cheese grated (I used a mixture)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 inch medium butternut squash peeled and diced small cubes

2 cloves garlic minced
