These were great with coffee. I made them for a brunch with friends. I baked them for the minimum time and the bottoms got a little burned so would recommend checking on them at 13-14 minutes.

Ingredients

½ cup butter, softened

½ cup sugar

⅓ cup light brown sugar

2 large eggs, room temperature

1½ tsp. baking powder

¼ tsp. baking soda

½ tsp. ground nutmeg

¾ tsp. cinnamon

½ tsp. salt

2 tsp. vanilla extract

2⅔ cups all-purpose flour

1 cup buttermilk (can substitute with milk of your choice

For topping- 3 TB. melted butter

3 TB. Sugar mixed with 2 tsp. cinnamon
