2 medium cucumbers

1 tsp sugar

2 tsp rice wine vinegar

1 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

2 lg eggs

2 C panko bread crumbs

3/4 C cornstarch

canola oil, for frying

2 lb asparagus, rinsed & “trimmed” of woody ends

1-2 tsp finely grated ginger

salt, pepper to taste

2 T olive oil

2 T Worcesterchire sauce

2 T ketchup

2 T sugar

1 T water

1/2 tsp finely grated ginger
