2 tbsp unsalted butter

1 x small shallot, finely chopped

2 x cloves garlic, finely chopped

1/4 cup melon-seed-shaped pasta

3/4 cup arborio rice

2 1/4 cup low sodium vegetable broth, warm

1 1/2 tsp fleur de sel

1 tbsp garlic powder

1/3 cup aged yellow cheddar, shredded
