1/2 cup yellow mustard

1/2 cabbage, sliced

1 cup apple cider vinegar

1 cup water

1 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes

Oregano to taste

Basting Sauce

Especias para pavo/especias para tamales (see Note)

12 fresh tomatoes

3 garlic cloves, unpeeled

2 cans tomato sauce, 8 ounces each

2 1/2 cups chicken stock

1/2 cup butter
