1/3 cup water

2 cups coconut milk

1 cup water

3/4 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons palm sugar, or light brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste

2 pandanus leaves, lightly bruised and folded and tied into a knot
