2.0 tbsp double cream

1 onion , finely chopped

breadcrumbs from 4 thick slices of white bread, crusts removed

steamed broccoli , to serve

FOR THE MUSTARD MAYO

1 egg , beaten

250.0g smoked haddock fillet

seasoned flour , for dusting

25.0g butter

2-3 tsp grainy mustard

150 ml /¼ pint milk

4.0 tbsp sunflower oil or groundnut oil

175.0g good-quality bought mayonnaise

450.0g potatoes
