2/3 cup roughly chopped green bell pepper

10 to 12 red or green seedless grapes, halved, for garnish

1/4 cup (1 oz.) slivered almonds, lightly toasted

3 Tbs. white-wine vinegar

1/2 cup good-quality extra-virgin olive oil

1 to 2 large cloves garlic, sliced

1-1/2 cups peeled, seeded, and sliced cucumber, plus 4 tsp. finely diced for garnish

3/4 cup fresh breadcrumbs, preferably white

Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper (preferably white)
